New Jersey Kids Count 2015: The State of Our Children

Join us on April 20 for the release of New Jersey Kids Count 2015, which will feature a special section on racial inequities and a panel presentation to delve deeper into the racial data featured in the report. ACNJ will also release and discuss the latest stats on child well-being for children at the county and state levels.

An interactive panel of state and local leaders will discuss how race affects child well-being and how we can work together to address severe and persistent racial inequities among New Jersey children. Barbara George Johnson, MPH, JD, executive director of The John S. Watson Institute for Public Policy at Thomas Edison College, will moderate the panel.

Why attend?

New Jersey Kids Count provides a picture of the state of child well-being in New Jersey by tracking trends in critical areas, including child poverty, health, education, child protection and juvenile justice. The reliable and timely information in the report is widely used across the state to better inform stakeholders as important decisions are made about the state’s priorities and the needs of children and families.

The release event provides an opportunity for public discussion of these issues and to identify  areas where progress is being made and where more focused attention is needed.
